Positioning food in the freezer

- 1. Wrap and seal fresh food ensuring the packaging is air tight before placing into the freezer. Freezer or Polythene bags and foil is ideal.
- 2. Never place warm food in the freezer.
- 3. Never place glass bottles or cans in the freezer as the contents will burst when the contents freeze.
- 4. When freezing food, divide it into portions that will be consumed in one sitting.
- 5. Foods that are liquid should be stored in a plastic cups.
- 6. Never refreeze thawed frozen food.
- 7. Always consume thawed frozen food within a short period of time.
