You can balance the amount of heat between the top and the bottom of the dish in the cooker by selecting a different shelf height.
To avoid uneven cooking use only one shelf at a time.

Place the dish on the top or second rack to get more heat at the top.

Place the dish on the third or fourth rack to get more heat at the bottom.
