    Warning: The filter should never be removed during a wash programme, always wait until the wash programme has finished and the laundry has been taken out.

  • 2.

    Turn the mains water connection to the OFF position to prevent water entering the washing machine.

  • 3.

    Locate the pump cover, which is usually at the bottom left or right on the front of the washing machine.

  • 4.

    Place a container or a towel in front of the pump cover, this will prevent any spillage from the remaining water in the washing machine.

  • 5.

    Open or remove the pump cover.

    Note: Your washing machine may have a waste pipe, pull the waste pipe out. Remove or open the cap on the end, then empty any trapped water before opening the pump filter.

  • 6.

    Turn the pump filter anti-clockwise.

  • 7.

    Remove the pump filter from its housing.

  • 8.

    Remove any dirt and blockages, then clean the pump filter with clean water.

  • 9.

    Place the pump filter back into its housing, then turn the pump filter clock-wise to lock it into place.

    Note: if your washing machine has a waste pipe, replace or close the cap and place the waste pipe back into the housing.

  • 10.

    Close or replace the pump cover.

  • 11.

    Open the inlet water tap.

  • 12.

    It is recommended that the pump filter is cleaned every 2-3 months.
